Porcelain Slab Fixing and Handling Instructions

This should give you and your contractor a good understanding of what is required when dealing with

large porcelain slabs.

  1. Sub-surface should be dry, dust free with minimal tolerance on flatness 2 mm over 2m, on walls apply slabs to cementatious boards e.g. Duckerboard, Wedi, etc. always using solid bed fixing method as shown in the video.
  2. When fixing slabs always use Kerakoll Revolution Grey adhesive plus Mapei grouts and silicon.  Or other similar proprietary brands.
  3. N.B. British Standards apply to any installation in the UK, expansion joint distances, etc.
